Presentación de caso: Meningoencefalitis por Enterobacterias.

RESUMEN: Se reporta el caso de un lactante de dos meses de edad que ingresa en el Hospital William Soler por presentar una meningoencefalitis a Escherichia coli y seis días después de ser egresado satisfactoriamente, vuelve a cuerpo de guardia con otra meningoencefalitis a Salmonella D, en este segundo evento se complica con una hemorragia cerebral, de todo lo cual se recupera pero aparecen secuelas definitivas. También se analiza la situación personal y familiar que conllevaron al desarrollo del cuadro. Se reporta como caso curioso pues son pocos los reportes en la literatura médica que abordan el tema de meningoencefalitis a Enterobacterias.
