 La Biblioteca trabaja todos los días durante 12 horas prestando diversos servicios:

  • Sala lectura
  • Terminales para usuario en sala de lectura
  • Préstamos en sala y circulante
  • Referencia bibliográfica
  • Búsqueda bibliográfica
  • Extensión bibliotecaria
  • Copia de materiales en formato no impreso
  • Diseminación selectiva de la información
  • Corrección de referencias bibliográficas
Funciones de la Biblioteca de APS del Policlínico Universitario Vedado
1. Cumplir las orientaciones metodológicas emitidas por el CPICM y el Centro
        Municipal  de Información.
2. Brindar servicios informativos a todos los trabajadores de la        
        salud, utilizando las colecciones locales, las fuentes de
        información de la red de bibliotecas y los recursos disponibles en
        el portal de Infomed.
3. Realizar estudios de necesidades formativas e informativas que
        le permitan brindar servicios a la medida.
4. Integrarse al Programa de alfabetización informacional propuesto
        por Infomed/CNICM.
5. Utilizar los manuales, normas y metodologías establecidas por
        Infomed/CNICM para el desarrollo de la actividad informativa en
        las bibliotecas de salud.
6. Recopilar los trabajos producidos por los profesionales y técnicos
        del área de salud y de  la institución, formando un fondo propio que recoja de
        manera documental la acción del policlínico.
7. Velar porque el local de la biblioteca mantenga las condiciones
        adecuadas para brindar el servicio a los usuarios.
8. Participar en las tareas de la institución dirigidas a mejorar los
        servicios de salud.
9. Establecer mecanismos de retroalimentación que permitan
        conocer el grado de satisfacción de los usuarios.
10. Velar porque los usuarios que utilizan los puntos de presencia
        conozcan el Código de Ética de la Red Infomed.
